Deckfoot

Elevated Deck

  1. Level the site.
  2. Layout the Deckfoot® (A) approximately 4 feet apart.
  3. Insert 4" x 4" or 6" x 6" posts in Deckfoot® slots.
  4. Nail the joist ties (B) - having made sure that they are level - to the 4" x 4" posts at desired height.
  5. Using galvanized nails or wood screws, nail a fascia board (C) at the ends of, and flush with, the stringers.

Ground-Level Deck

  1. Level the site.
  2. Layout the Deckfoot® (A) approximately 4 feet apart.
  3. Position the stringers (B) in Deckfoot® channels.
  4. Raise or lower Deckfoot® as required to ensure that the top edges of the stringers are level.
  5. Using galvanized nails or wood screws, nail a fascia board (C) at the ends of, and flush with, the stringers.

Deck On Gradient

  1. Level the gradient's steps (A) and layout Deckfoot® approximately 4 feet apart.
  2. Stack Deckfoot® proper level height (B).
  3. Position the stringers in Deckfoot® channels.
  4. Raise or lower Deckfoot® as required to ensure that the top edges of the stringers are level.
  5. Using galvanized nails or wood screws, nail a fascia board (C) at the ends of, and flush with, the stringers.

Floor Installation

  1. Properly space and align flooring planks (A) on the stringers below, and nail into position.

NOTE: 2" x 6" and 2" x 8" flooring planks should extend approximately 2" over the edge of teh fascia board. 2" x 4" planks should extend 1" over teh fascia board.
